Who is responsible
The company identified below operates this website and controls the personal data it receives.
The full workbook is activated through an adult account email address. There are no separate child accounts. An adult can optionally enable cloud progress for learner profiles; a nickname is optional and real names are not required.
What we collect and why
When an adult contacts us by email, we receive their email address, message and any information they choose to include. We use these details to answer the request and provide support. Our hosting provider may process an IP address, request time and browser information to deliver and protect the website. Depending on the purpose, processing is based on steps requested before a contract or its performance, a legal obligation, the establishment or protection of rights, or a legitimate interest that does not override the person's rights.
When synchronization is enabled, the learner profile identifier, optional nickname, completed activities, learning preferences and current position are linked to the adult account and stored encrypted on the server. These remain account-linked learning data, even with a nickname. Dates of birth, learner contact details, recorded audio, pen strokes and images are not uploaded.
We use no advertising tracking. Email support receives the sender’s address and message; please do not send children’s personal details or recordings. Hosting and security services may keep technical request logs, including IP addresses. Activation and security records are separate from learning progress; deleting a learner profile does not delete the adult account or those records.
Sharing and retention
Only authorised people and service providers that need information to operate hosting or email and answer your request may receive it. Information may also be disclosed where the law requires. We retain it only for the relevant purpose and applicable legal obligations or claims, then delete or anonymise it. We do not sell personal data or use it for advertising profiles. International transfers, if arranged, must have a valid basis and the safeguards required by applicable law.
Your rights
Under Turkish KVKK, you may ask whether your personal data is processed, obtain information about its purpose and recipients, request correction or erasure where the legal conditions apply and notification of those changes to recipients, object to an adverse result based solely on automated analysis, and seek compensation for unlawful processing. Contact privacy@horizons-tr.com or send a written request to the company address on our legal-information page. We may request proportionate identity verification and respond to KVKK requests within 30 days. You may complain to the competent authority using its applicable procedure. Additional rights, including restriction or portability, apply where the relevant law provides them.
Cookies and local storage
Progress is also saved on this device. Offline changes synchronize after reconnection when synchronization is enabled. Pausing synchronization does not delete cloud data. Deleting a learner profile removes its cloud copy when the deletion synchronizes; local export is available. Clearing browser data may remove unsynchronized changes.
